New generation of electric forklift trucks for a wide range of applications

Aschaffenburg, November 6 , 2024 - Linde Material Handling (MH) presents a new generation of electric forklift trucks. With 26 new three- and four-wheel models in the 1.0 to 2.0 tonne load capacity range, the company is replacing its previous electric forklift truck series and focusing on improved ergonomics and higher performance. Some of the new models integrate lithium-ion batteries and their various versions offer a high degree of flexibility for a wide range of applications.

Wide range of applications and model diversity

The new electric counterbalance trucks in the load capacity range up to two tons serve the largest segment of all industrial truck classes. They are used in numerous industries, including distribution centers, food production, the building materials trade and chemical manufacturing. The models are designed to meet the special requirements of multi-shift operation as well as confined and challenging environments such as heat, cold or dust. In order to meet different customer requirements, Linde MH offers the new series in an unprecedented variety of models. It includes three- and four-wheel forklifts with load capacities from 1.0 to 2.0 tons and with a choice of lithium-ion or trough battery. This variety supports high adaptability and maximum productivity.

Two variants: Linde Xi and Linde E

The new series includes the powerful Linde Xi models and the optimized Linde E models. The Linde Xi models, equipped with an integrated lithium-ion battery, offer extended application flexibility and high-performance capability. The Linde E models, still compatible with lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, have been prepared for use with fuel cells and enable simple adaptation thanks to the "plug & play" principle.

Maximum performance for demanding applications

The models Linde Xi10 to Xi20 are equipped with a 90-volt lithium-ion battery and a synchronous reluctance motor. This combination enables a top speed of 20 km/h and accelerates the vehicle in the shortest possible time, making it suitable for intensive multi-shift operation. Thermal management technology ensures that the motor power remains available throughout, even under high loads. The Linde E models use the proven 48-volt lithium-ion technology and also achieve a high level of performance thanks to maintenance-free asynchronous motors. The entire series increases efficiency in day-to-day work and sets new standards among the competition.

Ergonomics and comfort for drivers

Comfort at the driver's workplace plays a central role. With a larger access step, a footwell that has been extended by 30 percent and more headroom, the new models meet the highest ergonomic demands. The heating system has also been improved and now offers a 60 percent increase in heat output as well as adjustable nozzles for greater comfort. For hot days, the trucks can be optionally equipped with air conditioning. An industry first is the Linde Steer Control, which replaces the classic steering wheel with a mini-wheel or joystick for easier handling. Other comfort features such as damping concepts on the axles and lift mast reduce vibrations and prevent operator fatigue.

Maximum safety in the workplace

Linde MH attaches great importance to safety. With Linde Load Assist, the risk of tipping accidents is minimized by automatically adjusting the lift and tilt functions. Other options, such as the Linde Reverse Assist Radar and camera systems for rear and front view, further increase safety. These systems detect objects and people in the vicinity of the truck and reduce speed or automatically bring the vehicle to a standstill in the event of danger.

Networked solutions for increased productivity

Wireless data transmission enables the vehicles to be connected to cloud-based applications. Predictive maintenance can be carried out via this data transmission and software updates can be easily installed over the air. Integration into digital process chains and connection to warehouse management systems also increases efficiency and productivity at Linde MH.
