Efficient all-rounders for pallet transport

With the T14 - T20 low-lift pallet trucks, Linde Material Handling (MH) is launching compact pedestrian trucks for pallet transport in the payload range from 1.4 to 2.0 tons. The models with fully integrated lithium-ion battery allow even better maneuvering in tight spaces.

Powerful, practical, maneuverable: Many companies rely on electric low-lift pallet trucks to transport pallets or other loads that can be moved underneath over short to medium-length distances. The demand for these compact helpers is constantly increasing, as they are now used worldwide regardless of the industry or the size of the company. The requirements placed on the equipment vary accordingly depending on the area of application. Sometimes it is important that the devices can be maneuvered extremely well and in other cases that they are as quiet as possible on the road. However, a high level of operating comfort, the best possible protection of the operator from injury, reliability in use, and simple, cost-effective service are always high on the agenda.

These demands are more than met by the new series. The handy Linde T14 with a load capacity of 1.4 tons was designed primarily for transporting goods in the retail trade and as a truck for city deliveries. The more powerful Linde T16 and Linde T18 models with load capacities of 1.6 and 1.8 tons respectively are used primarily for loading and unloading at loading stations. The Linde T20 model with a load capacity of 2.0 tons is designed for more intensive tasks in industrial production.

The most obvious change from the previous model is the significantly shorter chassis of the Linde T14 and T16 models, which is made possible by the new, fully integrated lithium-ion battery. The reduced length dimension (429 mm) makes the truck more maneuverable and at the same time lighter, making it even better suited for transporting goods in narrow aisles or on narrow loading ramps. During breaks, the vehicle can also be conveniently recharged at any power outlet using the optionally available integrated charger.

The development also focused on operating comfort and safety. Thanks to the long, low-mounted tiller, the operator always keeps a safe distance from the machine during all loading and transport operations. The speed of the vehicle also adjusts automatically to the tiller position: The steeper the tiller angle, the slower the vehicle. When the operator releases the tiller head, the electromagnetic brake automatically stops the lift truck. For added control in difficult situations, Linde MH also offers an optional crawl speed function. The standard power steering ensures easy maneuverability of the truck in everyday operation.

Since injuries to the operator's limbs are not uncommon, Linde MH uses a specially shaped tiller handle to protect the hands. This reliably encloses and protects the fingers, thus preventing accidents. All controls on the ergonomically optimized tiller head can also be operated with one hand.

The wide handles also make it easier to work with gloves, which are used in cold stores, for example.

The display on the chassis represents a further gain in operator safety. This provides the operator with all important information on operating hours, battery and maintenance status without distracting him from his task. Thanks to the low chassis and rounded battery cover, the operator also has a clear view of the wheel arms at all times. The new low-lift trucks can be used in city centers during evening and night hours without any problems, as the quiet engine, discreet hydraulic pump and special features such as triple load wheels keep vehicle noise below the critical 60 decibel limit. Special shock absorbers on the castors also compensate for shocks and vibrations, keeping the load stable on the vehicle at all times while sparing the user from vibrations.

A central interface enables service technicians to access all vehicle data quickly and conveniently. The data is managed in an individual digital twin for each vehicle. Updates and new functions can be imported into the vehicle in next to no time via the optional data transmission unit. The monitoring of certain vehicle parameters such as temperature and usage time in real time can in turn be used for damage prevention.
