Rappel training for high rack stackers

In order to be able to react appropriately in dangerous situations, we offer you this abseiling training from high-rack vehicles in particular. In this training, the requirements of the emergency abseiling device, the abseiling procedure and the correct behavior during a rescue operation are explained as well as practically tested and practiced. Through the abseil training, we prepare your operators for high-rack trucks optimally for possible emergency situations.

The theoretical part and the practical rappelling exercise are carried out at your site with our own rescue harnesses designed for this purpose. 

For whom is the abseil training suitable?

Operators of high rack industrial trucks

The rappelling exercise is required once a year if the operator's position can be raised more than 3 meters for rack stackers.

  • Experience in the safe handling of high rack equipment
  • Physical and mental fitness
  • Minimum age: 18 years

Approx. 5 - 8 hours

Rappel training procedure

Theoretical part (approx. 2 - 2.5 hours)

  • Legal basis and operating instructions
  • Description and requirements of the emergency descenders
  • Equipment scope and tests
  • Maintenance, care and storage
  • Correct slinging and intended use
  • Carrying out the rappelling process with the vehicle-specific rappelling device
  • Behavior after rescue - emergency lowering
  • Putting on/handling the seat belt, guiding the ropes
  • "Dry runs" of the participants with complete equipment

Practical part

  • Instruction on the high rack stacker
  • Rappelling exercise of the participants at a height of approx. 3 meters
  • Behavior after the rescue
