GRUMA is one of the best in Bavaria

GRUMA has once again been awarded the "Sicher mit System" ("Safe with a System ") seal of approval by the BGHW ( Berufsgenossenschaft Handel und Warenlogistik - Trade and Merchandise Logistics Employers' Liability Insurance Association ), achieving the grade "Very Good". According to the BGHW, this makes the company, which is headquartered in Friedberg near Augsburg, one of the best in the whole of Bavaria. During the corresponding audit, which took place at the end of last year, the auditors at GRUMA came to the conclusion that all requirements for systematic and effective occupational safety are fully met. This means that occupational accidents, occupational illnesses and work-related health hazards are permanently reduced or prevented through targeted preventive measures.

GRUMA has had a successful occupational health and safety management system (OH&S management system ) with the seal of approval of the employers' liability insurance association since 2011. Sustainability and continuous improvement are important test criteria for the management system. The experts at GRUMA also pass on the knowledge acquired in the course of the comprehensive certification to other companies.

Due to high external demand, GRUMA has also recently started offering its customers professional consulting services for the implementation of an occupational safety management system. Interested parties can first determine the current status of their occupational safety system with the help of a self-check. Here, for example, the legal security of the current system is checked.

When GRUMA is commissioned, its AMS experts then first analyze possible sources of danger, propose measures to improve occupational safety, define regulations and procedures, and review these procedures on a regular basis.

Among other things, they also create hazardous materials and noise inventories and advise on individual emergency plans and the necessary documentation. GRUMA's 3-person AMS team is headed by Jürgen Jahn, who has been working for the company for 28 years and has been responsible for effective and more efficient occupational safety within GRUMA since 2008.
