The new SC20+ offers up to 20% higher mileage, especially on abrasive surfaces**, as well as excellent resistance to all types of damage. The tire has a rolling resistance* equivalent to the SC20, which gives it a leading position in energy efficiency. Its proven tread design is based on the special combination of longitudinal grooves and large blocks. The numerous grip edges thereby allow outstanding traction on any surface. Thanks to its robustness, the Continental Plus compound also ensures outstanding fail-safety. Compared to its predecessors, the new SC20+ offers longer durability and significantly higher injury resistance due to the new compound.

The new Continental Plus compound

The new Plus compound consists of a polymer matrix with a variety of short-chain sulfur compounds, resulting in a balance of low abrasion, high resistance and energy efficiency. Incorporated into the new polymer matrix technology are stabilizing solids as wear reducers and silica as crack stoppers. The result is increased durability and injury resistance. Mileage and energy efficiency are optimized by low movement of the rubber polymers, which reduce abrasion and heat generation inside the tire, increasing tire durability.
