The right frame for every application: Linde Material Handling (MH) is now presenting various new trailer frames for different applications, both indoors and outdoors. These frames have been specially designed for Linde tractors and are equipped with many specific functions. At the same time, they offer maximum comfort, maximum safety and are gentle on the transported goods. They also help to make horizontal transportation and synchronized production processes more effective and economical.
Transport loads effortlessly over long distances
In modern industrial production, tugger trains, consisting of a tractor and several trailers, are indispensable. They transport large quantities of material over long distances to various assembly points, particularly in just-in-time or just-in-sequence production in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries. The load, which is typically on a trolley or trolley frame, is pushed into the trailer frame and lifted.
The use of tugger trains offers numerous advantages: they help to reduce operational traffic and the risk of accidents, ensure predictable, reliable logistics processes and are economical from a route length of 160 meters. The requirements for tugger trains vary depending on where they are used. In indoor areas, tight spaces often have to be overcome, while uneven road surfaces pose a challenge in outdoor areas.
New trailer modules especially for indoor and outdoor use
The new tugger train trailers Linde LT06-M, LT10-M and LT10-W have been specially developed for indoor use and can be used in combination with the Linde P60 C tractor and can be freely combined. The M frames with load capacities of 600 kg and 1,000 kg are loaded from one side and are suitable for transports with defined start and end points. The W frames with a load capacity of 1,000 kg, on the other hand, can be loaded from both sides, allowing more flexibility for route changes or new stopping points. A central axle with two wheels also ensures maximum maneuverability, so that even with four attached frames for Euro pallet trolleys, the tractor has a road width of 3.9 meters for a U-turn. The low tare weight of the trailers also increases the driving speed and therefore the handling capacity.
In addition to special tugger trains for indoor use, there are also suitable devices for outdoor use. The Linde LT16-Ch and Linde LT16-BMh tugger trains, which are towed by the Linde P250 tractor, are optimized for this purpose. Their large super-elastic tires with a diameter of 368 mm and a width of 115 mm soften vibrations and shocks and the robust frames with two axles can easily transport loads of up to 1.6 tons. The tugger trains from Linde also offer all-wheel steering for high maneuverability and hydraulic lift control for gentle lifting of the trolleys. Both available versions can be freely combined: a C-frame (Ch) and a double-sided bracket frame (BMh) with adjustable center bars for the simultaneous transport of containers of different sizes. Also perfect for outdoor use are additional options such as weather protection, lighting options for better visibility, mud flaps for the wheels and overrun brakes, which take the strain off the towing vehicle, especially on slopes and inclines.
The two new tugger train solutions further expand the existing range of Linde LT10-C to LT16-BM. In combination with the Linde P80 tractor, the new tugger trains act as "all-rounders" for transportation in and between factory halls. Three frame versions are available for the trailers with a maximum load capacity of 2,000 kg: C-frame (LT-C), double-sided loadable bow frame (LT-B) and bow frame with integrated, movable center bar (LT-BM).
Safety and performance across all models
To ensure safe transportation and loading operations, all Linde trailer models have a mechanical load lock as standard. The lifting function of the frames is also controlled centrally from the driver's cab, with automatic lifting when getting on and lowering when getting off. A collision lock also prevents the vehicle from moving off when the load is lowered and prevents the load from being lowered while driving. An assistance system automatically regulates the speed of the tractor units on bends.
To match the tugger trains, Linde also offers trolleys with load capacities of 1,000 kg in various sizes and with different equipment and tires. These are perfect for transporting pallets and containers and can be equipped with modular rack superstructures for small load carriers. An optional route guidance system also supports the driver on complex routes with variable end points and guides them along the optimum route to the various stations.
