GRUMA makes customers flourish

With its comprehensive range of different forklifts, GRUMA covers every requirement in the logistics sector. However, because every industry has its own unique requirements for transport services, the professionals from Friedberg and Garching also offer very individual customer solutions. For example, the market leader in the garden center sector, Dehner in Rain am Lech, has around 50 N20, BR 132 and T20 SP, BR 131 forklifts from GRUMA in operation, which ensure safe loading and unloading of trucks with special plant containers.

Easy (loading) play with GRUMA forklifts

So-called CC containers are mainly used in the plant trade. These are mobile, dismountable and then stackable deposit transport carts made of hot-dip galvanized steel on which the plant packages are not only transported but also offered for sale.
The great advantage of GRUMA's N20 vehicles is that the CC containers are loaded lengthwise, while the T20 SP model can even stack two of them side by side. This enables easier transport and picking as well as faster loading and unloading. In addition, the travel paths in the warehouses are narrower than with conventional transverse transport, which ensures enormous space savings.

In order to ensure absolutely safe transport, the GRUMA specialists developed a customer-specific clamp system that locks the CC containers in place when they are picked up and causes these retaining clamps to open automatically when they are lowered. The forks of the stackers were also individually adapted to the exact dimensions of the CC containers.

"At Dehner, more than 5,000 CC containers are moved every day during the peak season. Therefore, we need a system that allows us to load and unload the goods quickly and safely as well as transport them within the warehouse," says Martin Stibane, Head of Vehicle Management/Workshops at Dehner Logistik.
