Electrical wholesaler relies on diesel forklifts from GRUMA
In bright sunshine, the Head of Department for General Organization, Klaus Wünsch, the Technical Manager at the Logistics Center in Gernsheim, Aphram Topluca, and the Goods Receiving Manager for Cables, Bernhard Christl, take delivery of the new Linde H 140 D. Also on hand: Sales Manager Benjamin Brandl and Area Sales Manager Norbert Kiederle from GRUMA Nutzfahrzeuge GmbH.
The handover is a premiere for the Linde authorized dealer and the market leader in electrical wholesale: It is the first Linde diesel forklift in the fleet of Sonepar Deutschland / Region Süd GmbH. In the past, the cable drums at the company had become increasingly larger and heavier. Since the existing forklifts did not have enough lifting capacity to transport them, a more powerful machine was needed. In a comparison with competitors, the choice fell clearly on the H 140 D from Linde Material Handling. For the diesel forklift with a maximum lifting capacity of 14 tons, even the company's heaviest cable drums weighing 8.2 tons are no challenge.
After the official handover of the forklift, Klaus Wünsch and Bernhard Christl were instructed on the machine. The latter immediately took the opportunity for a small test of the colossus to move a two-ton cable drum with the forklift.
Subsequently, the remaining employees in the incoming goods department were also instructed by the GRUMA service technician, Stefan Zieringer, in compliance with the Corona specifications.
