This year, GRUMA is once again supporting social and humanitarian projects in the region for Christmas. Sophie Gruber, Assistant to the Managing Director, therefore presented a check for 10,000 euros to LichtBlick Seniorenhilfe e.V. in Munich last week. The senior citizens' aid supports pensioners in old-age poverty, loneliness and helplessness in old age. Pensioners in need of help receive fast and unbureaucratic emergency aid for short-term expenses, grocery vouchers, sponsorship assistance and telephone support.
"It is deeply impressive to see the dedication with which the LichtBlick team is working to combat poverty among the elderly and in an area that is highly sensitive and often forgotten. As a company, we want to assume social responsibility and support others in need. We feel a great need to support the work of Seniorenhilfe financially, as we are convinced that our donation will reach where it is needed."

LichtBlick employee Sonja Pejhan was very happy about this donation:
"The LichtBlick Seniorenhilfe foundation has been working since 2003 to help poor pensioners whose means are insufficient for a life of dignity and social participation. The exclusion that pensioners experience when they can no longer get out of their misery on their own is increasing. We act as helpers and advocates for poor seniors and work to ensure that people who have worked all their lives do not have to live at the subsistence level in old age. So we thank GRUMA from the bottom of our hearts for this generous donation!"

Just recently, GRUMA supported the Kaufbeuren relief organization humedica e.V. with donations in kind for their warehouse logistics.
