The readers have decided: In the "materialfluss PRODUCTS OF THE YEAR 2021" competition, they voted a product from Linde Material Handling onto the winner's podium in two categories.
In the industrial trucks category, the Linde R-MATIC automated reach truck left all other innovations behind. The highlights of the reach truck include not only the front safety sensor integrated into the chassis, which enables maneuvering in an aisle width of just 2.95 meters. The auto-calibrating 3D camera with new software generation, which allows even more precise determination of the load position, is also a special feature. For example, faster object detection results in time savings of 15 to 20 seconds per pick or drop. With a maximum lift height of eleven meters, the Linde R-MATIC is also a first in the industry.
But it was not only in the industrial trucks category that Linde Material Handling won over readers. In the field of identification technology, they also voted Linde into first place with the new "Door Control" module of the Linde Safety Guard.
The intelligent access authorization system reliably prevents door collision damage and regulates entry in defined areas. For example, diesel forklifts can be prevented from entering sensitive areas of food production or indoor forklifts from leaving the hall to the outside. The door control is synchronized with the speed of the approaching forklifts. As a result, the door opens and closes precisely. If the forklift is not authorized, the speed is automatically reduced and a visual warning signal is displayed.
To select the best products, the editors of the intralogistics trade publication "materialfluss" nominated 79 products in eight categories, of which the three best were awarded prizes. Voting took place in an online poll from mid-December 2020 to mid-February 2021, with a total of around 20,000 readers casting their votes. The prizes were awarded virtually during the materialfluss WORLD + CONFERENCE 2021 / materialfluss Digital Networking Days.
