For companies that want to increase their competitiveness through the use of advanced automated intralogistics, Linde Material Handling (MH) offers a comprehensive range of solutions. From a wide range of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and mobile robots (AMRs) for projects of all sizes to a team of proven experts for expert planning and implementation – Linde MH is your one-stop shop. A new addition to the portfolio is the Linde L-MATIC HD k, an automated pallet stacker for horizontal transport tasks up to a height of 3.8 metres, which impresses with fast delivery times and quick commissioning thanks to new software and simplified service. At LogiMAT 2024, the Linde L-MATIC C, a near-series concept study of an exclusively automated pallet stacker, will also be presented in the form of a "live case". Thanks to its compact design, this model is particularly suitable for use in confined spaces and can be integrated into both small and large vehicle fleets. Sales are scheduled to start at the end of the year.

Louis Vieira, Head of Automation & Intralogistics Germany at Linde MH, motivates logistics managers to consider automating material flow processes, especially for processes that have a high degree of standardization . Whether it's transporting goods close to the ground or supplying high-bay warehouses , AMRs and automated industrial trucks can be used in a wide range of applications, with pallet stackers standing out in particular due to their flexibility.

Suitable models for every application

The latest vehicle model, the Linde L-MATIC HD k, expands the range of applications to include the transport of loads of up to 1.6 tonnes between conveyor belts, racks, marked floor surfaces or rack locations, as well as their storage and retrieval at heights of up to 3.8 metres. The warehouse truck is equipped with various load sensors and safety scanners with 360° monitoring and moves at a travel speed of up to 7.2 km/h. In addition, it already meets the highest European safety standards of the ISO 3691-4 standard for automated guided vehicles. Additional features include the Linde BlueSpot, warning lights, a second load sensor and additional obstacle detection. The Linde L-MATIC HD k can be ordered with either a lead-acid or lithium-ion battery . The matching charger is delivered from the factory, just like the vehicle itself. The Linde MATIC HD k is designed for efficient 24/7 operation. There are various options for (interim) charging, manual and fully automatic. Two innovative software solutions facilitate quick commissioning, while service by qualified technicians guarantees short repair and maintenance times and thus maximum availability.

The Linde L-MATIC C with a load capacity of 1.2 tonnes, which was presented at the intralogistics trade fair in Stuttgart, impresses with its short, slim design and shows how automation can also be implemented in existing, space-constrained production and storage environments . The simple and intuitive new software supports rapid project implementation. Instead of programming yourself, the project logics are configured via a simple, clear user interface.

In addition to the focus on automated vehicles, Vieira points out the importance of digitizing warehouse processes. As a helpful example, he cites the Linde Warehouse Navigator, which combines a warehouse management system as well as a picking and forklift guidance system. This enables paperless control, monitoring and documentation of all goods movements, shows the forklift drivers the shortest routes and thus ensures greater efficiency and transparency in warehouse operations.
