Are you interested in industrial trucks with EX protection? Then you should definitely pay a visit to stand G13 in hall 4.1 at ACHEMA, the world's leading trade fair for the process industry in Frankfurt am Main. Linde From June 10 to 14, Material Handling (MH) will be presenting many innovative products in the field of explosion protection, including the three electric low lift pallet trucks Linde T16 EX to T20 EX. These are characterized by their compact design and are perfect for transporting loads where space is at a premium. Another highlight is the newly developed "Reverse Assist Camera" system, which is based on artificial intelligence and was designed for EX-protected counterbalance trucks. The camera can detect people behind the vehicle and warn the driver of potential collisions by means of visual and acoustic signals.
Product innovation for applications in confined spaces
The models Linde T16 EX to T20 EX impress with their robust chassis, reinforced forks and load capacity of two tons. The low lift pallet trucks are available in equipment categories 2G/2D and 3G/3D and are certified for use in ATEX zones 1/21 and 2/22. Thanks to their compact shape, small turning circle and intuitive controls, they also offer excellent maneuverability in confined spaces. Equipped with extensive explosion protection measures, such as ignition protection against electrical and mechanical sparks, continuous temperature monitoring of all relevant components and measures to prevent electrostatic discharges, they guarantee a high level of safety during operation. The low-mounted drawbar, which ensures a large safety distance from the operator, also increases safety. The active foot guard and the low chassis also prevent injuries during operation.
Another feature of the Linde T16 EX to T20 EX models is the centrally positioned multifunction display. This informs the operator about all important vehicle values, such as the battery charge status or the next maintenance. The Linde EX monitoring app displays all measured values that are relevant to safety. This also provides the operator with specific instructions if necessary. To keep vehicle availability high at all times, preventive, bundled maintenance measures are also displayed in the app.
Intelligent personal protection thanks to AI camera
Another innovative new feature is the Linde Reverse Assist Camerawhich has been specially adapted for EX-protected areas in equipment categories 2G/2D (ATEX zone 1/21) and 3G/3D (ATEX zone 2/22). By using artificial intelligence, the camera can distinguish people from objects and warn the driver visually and acoustically when a person is detected behind the vehicle, depending on the distance. To further minimize the risk of accidents, an automatic reduction in driving speed can also be activated. The display and camera are housed in flameproof enclosures for use in ATEX zone 1/21.
For ATEX zone 2/22, the Linde Safety Guard can also be used. The system enables communication between the forklifts using UWB signals and automatically reduces the driving speed as soon as the distance falls below a certain level. The system can also be used to define speed zones for halls or sections and regulate access to ATEX zones for authorized vehicles.
The right solution for every customer
In addition to the standardized solutions, specially manufactured products such as the "drum tipper" will also be presented. This is a high-lift truck with an additional attachment that can easily transport 300-liter drums and can grip and tip open drums and pour out the liquids they contain. The integrated scales are accurate to 500 grams. The drum clamp functions can be operated both via the control lever and remotely. These and other solutions demonstrate Linde MH's commitment to addressing specific customer needs and continuously improving safety and efficiency in the process industry.
