Powerful and sustainable: Linde Material Handling (MH) has been setting new standards for two years with its innovative Linde X and E models. The potentially CO2-free electric trucks are just as powerful and robust as a combustion engine and are suitable for even the most demanding operations in the paper, wood, beverage and chemical industries. They can also be adapted to operational requirements and are optimally adapted to the needs of operators in terms of ergonomics and safety.

As of now, the power packs can also be ordered in the 3.5 to 5 ton payload range. With the new Linde X35 - X50 models, really heavy loads can now also be transported with electric forklifts under the most demanding conditions.

The best of two worlds

The high technical performance is made possible by a new generation of motors and the vehicle concept, which has been adapted from the ground up. High-performance synchronous reluctance motors are used, which in the X models are additionally equipped with permanent magnets. In conjunction with the equally efficient and robust thermal management system for the power modules installed on the drive axle, the efficiency and energy efficiency of the motors are improved by up to five percent. It also ensures that the rated power can be called up even for the most demanding tasks in multi-shift operation. The lithium-ion systems developed by Linde MH support this with their high overall safety, shock resistance and sealing against dirt and moisture.

Specialist for indoors and outdoors: In addition to the X models, which are particularly suitable for uneven ground outdoors due to their design, the classic E models have been specially optimized for indoor use. Thanks to their compactness and maneuverability, they can also be used in tight spaces. High handling rates are thus guaranteed. The twin-engine front-wheel drive offers particularly good traction and high agility. The new models also feature a combined steering axle, which allows the drive wheels to be turned fully into a circular motion.

Focus on safety and ergonomics

When designing the driver's workplace, the focus was on safety and ergonomics. For example, both the X and E models offer operators significantly more space and an improved view of the load and surroundings.

To protect people, vehicles, goods and the environment, the vehicles were equipped with electronic assistance systems. These extend the natural field of vision, provide information, warn or intervene in a regulating manner if necessary. To further improve ride comfort, the driver's workplace was largely decoupled from the drive unit and the mast.

Both models also feature an elastomer ring bearing on the front axle, which absorbs shocks when driving over sleepers, guide rails or uneven ground and thus noticeably relieves the driver. Large models can also be ordered with Linde Steer Control (LSC) as an option.

Here, the steering column and steering wheel are omitted and replaced by a miniwheel or joystick in the left armrest. This adaptation provides the operator with additional support when steering the truck.

Fully networked

The trucks of the 12XX platform are the first fully networked vehicles from Linde MH ex works. Here, the most important vehicle data is transferred to the customer's IT system or a secure, central cloud server via a standard integrated data transmission unit using WLAN or the mobile network. Via downstream applications such as the fleet management system "Linde connect" or theLinde Truck Health Management service system. The data can then be used as a basis for improved vehicle deployment, predictive maintenance or remote diagnostics, thus contributing to higher vehicle availability and productivity. Software updates can also be installed "over the air" and new connect and vehicle functions can be activated. This keeps the vehicles technically up to date throughout their entire life cycle.
