Linde electric forklifts are consistently designed for durability. They are also highly energy-efficient, thanks to clever design features such as the compact axle drive, an intelligent energy management system, and the latest battery technology for short charging processes.

Linde compact axle drive
The compact axle drive uses two powerful AC motors developed by Linde at both ends of the axle. They are maintenance-free and are directed with Linde's typical double-pedal control. Maintenance-free oil-bath multi-disc brakes and the lifting hydraulic motor are also driven by them.
The result is impressive: high precision in moving loads with maximum energy efficiency.
Energy Management
Linde's electric forklifts are monitored by an intelligent energy management system. It is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle batteries are available for an extremely long time and that driving performance remains exemplary.
Residual charge display, temperature monitoring of the batteries, and short charging processes ensure optimum operating conditions. Of course, the individual components for control and drive are easily accessible. "Sevicability" is essential for tough daily use and ensures low maintenance costs.
Ergonomics and safety
Like all Linde products, the electric forklifts are designed according to the latest ergonomic findings for fatigue-free and comfortable work. This includes, among other things, a generous footwell, adjustable seats, but also the arrangement of control elements that allows back-friendly operation with the fingertips. In addition, the Linde electric forklifts offer rotating operator workstations to relieve the strain on the spine when reversing. The proven dual-pedal control avoids the need to shift feet when changing direction. The Linde Safety Pilot warns when the vehicle is overloaded or travel speed is too high in relation to load. Last but not least, good all-round visibility, the Linde Protector Frame and specially developed driver protection zones against load falls ensure a high level of passive safety.

Also, diesel forklifts and LPG forklifts usually have the edge in terms of maximum operating time and also when moving loads to great heights. However, there are premises and application profiles that require completely exhaust-free operation. In addition, electric forklifts have developed so well in the past that they are an absolute alternative to forklifts with combustion engines.
Forklifts with combustion engines are usually cheaper to buy. But when it comes to TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), things usually look different: Maintenance, servicing and repairs are distributed differently in electric forklifts. Except for the battery, all parts in electric forklifts require less maintenance and are less prone to repair. On the other hand, electric forklifts need charging stations, and older models not yet powered by lithium-ion batteries should always have a supply of battery water. So, as a rule, the maintenance costs of an electric forklift are lower.
Even though electric forklifts are less maintenance-intensive, they still require regular inspection, maintenance and repair. As a rule, maintenance is recommended every 1,000 operating hours. Spare parts supply for Linde forklifts is good, especially for older models. Batteries age even with proper handling. They usually need to be replaced after an average of 6,000 operating hours. Lithium-ion batteries last longer for technical reasons if handled well. They also have the advantage that intermediate charging does not damage the battery.
