Frequently asked questions about low lift trucks
Not only the travel function is operated electrically. The lifting and lowering function is also operated electrically. This relieves the operator and is naturally less tiring.
Whether hand pallet truck or electric pallet truck - a forklift license is not required for pedestrian operation. Instruction and briefing of the operator is sufficient. From a safety point of view, instruction of low-lift trucks should take place annually. However, operators must be physically and mentally capable of operating the pallet truck independently. This is best ensured by an occupational health examination.
In the semi-electric low-lift truck, loads are lifted by pumping movements. The heavier the weight, the more pumping movements are required. This makes the work slower but not necessarily more arduous. However, the locomotion of the low-lift truck remains electric.
Good reasons for low lift trucks from Linde
Linde's low-lift trucks are subject to dynamic and constant further development. They are designed according to the latest ergonomic findings and feature the highest safety standards. Linde low-lift trucks are available with joystick, 360-degree and steering drawbar controls - depending on the handling tasks to be mastered in the company. Some pedestrian trucks even feature SafetySpeed - a Linde innovation that takes operator safety to a whole new level.
SafetySpeed function
The SafetySpeed function from Linde is particularly important for safety. Here, the travel speed is automatically adjusted depending on the tiller position.
Of course, the design of the tiller handle is also such that the operator cannot injure himself: the deep-drawn lower chassis edge is rounded and has no sharp edges.
Precise handling
Tight surroundings? No problem, because the Linde low-lift trucks have narrow vehicle dimensions, precise steering and, of course, powerful drives. They accelerate the vehicle with and without load to the intended maximum speed in just a few seconds.
The low-lift trucks are hardly wider than a pallet. And the various steering systems have one thing in common: sensitive and effortless operation with just one hand.
Healthy workplace
Cleverly designed ergonomic elements and functions make the low-platform trucks with standing platform easier to operate. Among many other advantages, height-adjustable seats and armrests but also low entry heights are conducive to ergonomics and efficiency.
The position of the pilot also plays a major role: on some vehicles, he sits sideways to the direction of the forks and thus does not have to change his seat position for either reverse or forward travel. This is easy on the musculoskeletal system. The suspension of the platform, which is decoupled from the chassis, also contributes to this: Vibrations are largely kept away from the driver's workplace.
